School Story

Graduated from Broughton, married my high school sweetheart and divorced him 8 years later! Entered Meredith College in the winter of 1982 as a single mom with a 12 year old son. Graduated in December 1985. My career was uneventful and honestly boring. But it put groceries on the table and we were happy. Worked for the Wake County Medical Society for 5 years as their Executive Director and then resigned and took a position at Meredith College in the 23+ Office. It was fun watching other older women return to school to complete their degrees. I left Meredith in June of 2010 so that is really when my retirement started. I currently am a cashier at Hayes Barton Pharmacy at Five Points and absolutely love my job.

I had a school girl crush on Landon in Middle School and got to know him more as an adult! Long after UNC. Rest In Peace Landon. You were one of a kind and I am a better person for knowing and loving you! See u in heaven! He was such a star at Broughton! Always smiling and had a great laugh!
