Jackson Lonnie "Chip" Coble, Jr (16 Feb 1951 - 12 Jan 2012)
Chip attended Broughton High School, The University of South Carolina where he played football and The University of Alabama in Birmingham. He married Laura "Lori" Harshbarger on 9 Jun 1990 in Raleigh. He was employed with John S. Clark Construction Company as a construction engineer.
Surviving are his wife, Lori; the children, Jacob L. Coble of Charlotte, Elizabeth Otwell of Bethesda, Maryland; Dwight W. Otwell (Karen) and granddaughter. Elizabeth of Cary; mother, Betsey Paul Coble; brother, Paul Y. Coble (Connie); sister, Coral C, Stevens (Hal), all of Raleigh; best friend, Randy Stewart. He was predeceased by his father, Jackson L. Coble, Sr.
A memorial service was held at Hayes Barton Baptist Church on 15 Jan 2012.
