Remember moving to Raleigh as a 9th grader at Daniels...didn't know anyone...but quickly became friends with Landon... he was a friendly funny guy with a great smile… Excellent basketball player… with a great shot… And something I'll never forget… His shots had sidespin… not backspin... He did it his way and was great at it… rest  in peace my friend ...and thanks for the memories..

I want to start by saying,in life we encounter people that make us better. Landon was that for me. We met when we were nine years old. From that time until high school graduation,we were teammates in football, basketball and baseball . He was a friend on and off the court or field. I will always cherish the great times we shared. Rest In Peace my friend. God Bless!

I had a school girl crush on Landon in Middle School and got to know him more as an adult! Long after UNC. Rest In Peace Landon.  You were one of a kind and I am a better person for knowing and loving you!  See u in heaven! He was such a star at Broughton! Always smiling and had a great laugh!

Peace and fond memories for your boys!

Landon was a guy you could always count on. Always a happy non controversial type. We played golf together on graduation day from NBHS. The "Fallon Park" crew was always playing ball and was lucky to have Landon Moore.

Landon was the best friend anyone could ask for. We met in the 3rd grade and stayed close the rest of his life.
Losts of Socialization, Basketball, Baseball and Golf together. The golf trips to Myrtle Beach together were special.
There will never be another Landon. Rest In Peace my friend.

I didn't know Landon well and am glad to read comments by his close friends. He was attractive and seemed kind.

I knew Landon from the first grade through high school. He was always a genuinely nice person, as well as an excellent athlete. I ran into him one last time about 30 years ago in the Hudson Belks cafeteria (downtown) and we did a little catching up and remembering when.... My condolences to his family.

Landon was one of the first classmates to welcome me to Daniels Jr High when I went from county schools to city schools. I was a bit loss and knew few people. Landon came up and introduced himself and said if I needed any help just let him know. I enjoyed watching him play sports at Brougton and was delighted to see he was inducted into the Broughton Sports Hall of fame. R.I.P. my friend. See you on the other side one day.
